Botulinum toxin lasts up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines. It’s not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines will gradually return.

Side effects from a botulinum toxin treatment may include bruising, swelling, redness, or tenderness around the injection site, all of which will resolve without intervention after a few days to a week.
